A bit maudlin, leaving a job that I love to start a job that has the potential to make me very happy. It's more money and less travel but I still have doubts.

Tis the way SG, but potential is something worth trying. It will be fine when you start. Silver lining you were doing a job you love and are going to a job that will be better,that is something a lot don't experience.
