Started loading the panniers & adjusting the suspension ready for the big ride tomorrow. Tank full.
Bike`s lovely & clean but doubt if it`ll stay like that-supposed to rain somewhere up north.
Hope Scotland`s prepared for me

230 mile round trip to spend the day with my brother-in-law who's just come out of hospital after a heart attack.

Part of the trip on that 4/5-lanes wide section of A1(M) near Peterborogh, and they STILL hog the outside lane!

He's doing well, we managed to walk to the pub for lunch (just a single shandy each) then a bit later took his dog for a walk too. He's biggest problem is he's been banned from eating bacon butties, fried breakfasts, ketchup; and anything else with high salt content.

Washed what looked like half the Sahara Desert off the bike. My fault for riding in the rain, I suppose

@ Richard T

It's good your brother is doing alright

I got my bike back from the shop after a major service. I also had them remove the alarm system, as it was crap . Now to consider a better one or if I even bother in future. They also connected my power supply for accessories.

@DavidNeale - IHMO a huge padlock and chain is a better investment than an aftermarket alarm?

@ zzrbabe - is that the pub at leverton? They have very good bike nights there. Also sun inn at north wheatley, towards gainsborough. :-)

Covered @220 miles over some great roads and fantastic scenery. Met some new folk and genuinely had a good time.

A little under 500 miles over the weekend.
A good ride down to Dent, around and about Yorkshire, back up north and then an evening bimble with Danny around the Campsies - as the sun was actually shining - to round off a great weekend. Well pleased.

U turn was rubbish and I skidded on emergency stop, which I've never done before! I think the u turn caused my concentration to lapse!
