I took my little bike out for a 2 hour poodle! Got a bit cold and damp but all ok!

Got fed up with HID headlights not behaving: one out altogether, one not dipping. Unplugged everything and went back to H4 'Blue' filament bulbs.
Now to work out how to safely test & repair the HID kits - very high voltages involved!Any automotive electricians here?

Err, pushed out of garage, chucked a bucket over, dried off, spray of FS365, squirt of chain lube, turned around and pushed back in and connected battery optimiser.
Distance travelled: about 8 feet.

Never mind, St Mary's Loch for lunch tomorrow - if anyone want to play be happy to see you there or PM me to arrange meet.
Riding down on service road to Moffat (B7078), probably have a break there before dodging the fluffy land clouds up to Tibbie.

Two hour lesson this morning to get some road practice in after winter layoff. Then fitted new chain and sprockets to my wee YBR under close supervision of Onlymepeeps - doing most of it myself ... but mission not quite complete as chain riveter required - excellent news though as his mate has one we can borrow - goodie!

Sound advice JP, can'nae fault it.

127 miles of Foolish smiles down to Moffat. Meant to go on to St Mary's Loch but weather changed so we just headed home again.
The glorious sunshine most of the day I hope is just a hint of things to come, but can be doing without the hailstones!

I had an awesome ride with big Ray, we went to fridaythorpe! It was awful weather - the hailstone storm was no fun, I couldn't see out my visor at times! But I am well chuffed with myself, I didn't fall off, or cause an accident and rode through the hail and the rain! Thanks Ray x

Went to Seaways at Fridaythorpe for bikers diet brekky (not!). Hoped to meet with Tab007 and Ray, but it seems we missed each other by a few minutes. :-(
2 hailstorms on the way home, bike covered in road salt, jet wash tomorrow!

Rode to Burnham on Crouch. It was a little cold and windy.
Visited the railway museum then the heavens opened with a hail storm.

Everything crossed for you Tab Just try to relax & do what you've been taught & practised You will be surprised how easy it is when you believe in yourself You've already done many safe miles & coped admirably in a variety of adverse conditions The test is just a confirmation of your ability to be "in control" of the bike You don't have to be perfect, just competent

I have been on bike to Sharky's funeral, very emotional and moving. An amazing turn out for him, and he and his family and freinds are in my thoughts. May he ride in peace
