Not in long, but had a great day at work. I have been in my profession for a long time now; done the same job in manufacturing, social housing and adult ed, but give me supported living anytime.....the rewards of making a difference to someones life are priceless

So excited about this, I want to share it.
Today I witnessed an adult with learning difficulties who had lived in institutions for all of their childhood, and then was 'put' into residential care where they lived for years and everyone said that he would never cope or live in the 'real' world. Well get this, he now lives in his very own home and today for the 1st time, he made his own lunch (with support) and smiled because he was so very happy.
