Now come on peeps, was that one of the best days ever, or what!
Richmond, Reeth, Tan Hill, Hartside, Barnard Castle - by some of the best biking roads in the country. And the company was top notch too.
Eee, ecky-thump! - check out the piccies.
Absolutely brillant day out !!
Many Many Thanks to XK for the pilly...and for persuading me at the 11th hour to go! Am so glad I did.
Fantastic roads, Highest Pub and Highest Cafe, as well as other places all in a day ...Brilliant !!!
Great company... good laughs, ...and a rather strange person at Barnard Castle......?!?! lol
Thanks again... am in need of a nice relaxing bath now.
XK.... great photos, will upload mine when i get a minute
What a fantastic day! Thoroughly enjoyed myself. The roads, weather and company couldn't have been better.
250 miles today for me - my longest ride out yet under my own steam.
Unfortunately (or fortunately some might say) Geoff's video has gone awry and there is very little useable footage. So non of Cassie riding (or her little push but I won't say anything more about that!) I'm afraid. The useable footage is from when Geoff was following Rifraf and Nina and others in front of them.
Shattered now!
Had a great day , fantastic ride-out , first time to Tan Hill , great place tad windy tho n pricey food .
Julies mishap managed to relieve everyone's memory of my wobbly bit when leaving Haws , at least no one mentioned it anyway .
Well done Julie for getting back on and completing the journey .
Miffed at not being able to go to Hartside , back tyre was just too low on tread for the extra miles , getting a new one on this week , so will be ready for the next time .
Nice ride back to Ripon with Julie n Phill , had a bit of a play on the twisties between Masham n West Tanfield
Yes, as Roachy has pointed out, I had a bit of a disaster with my camera which has resulted in about ten minutes of sky!
At least it shows what a wonderful day it was!
So, unfortunately, the mini film "Cassie and the Hill" will not be made .... yet!
So I took that humpback bridge @ 100mph, went soaring 50' in the air, Kaz wet herself - and Geoff has lost the video footage!
Now no one will believe me
Eee - ecky-thump!
and nobody would have seen my cross country skills ,
OBVIOUSLY was carried out purely for off road research and handling techniques----but no film footage----shame
Fantastic day, weather, roads, company all superb. Was lovely to see faces not seen in a while and those that are a wee bit more familiar.Julie, sorry to hear about your off, hope alls ok with you and bike.Caz,good luck for tomorrow, let us know how it go's please.Plenty other times for Hartside Dugald bud, just give a shout when you've got your new tyre.
