What made you sad or unhappy today?

I don't know whether to be happy or sad about Tranmere Rovers sacking their manager today. They're the strongest team in the league - in being bottom of League Two, they're propping the other 91 clubs up.

Took my Venture in to have the brakes bled, followed by an MOT.
They said it would be an hour.

When I went to collect, they said the brakes were 'sticky', and would need a complete strip down ie 3 hours ie £150

But they still charged me £30 for a failed MOT.

Opposite problem to VFR800AJ. I'm on strike tomorrow and don't really want to be. The issue the industrial action is over doesn't affect me, but in all conscience I've got to show support. Where would we be if it was all "Me, me, me"?

My 11-year-old daughter telling me that she's glad she left her old school, where the other kids mocked her because she "didn't have a mum". She's never mentioned it before.

Sincere thanks, BF. I'll pass on your sentiments. I have to say that a few of those kids were on the wrong end of a clout from her, though. She doesn't get intimidated.

No the robbery is on the parts that are designed to fail at a set point

Built-in obsolescence. It happens with bikes, too. The earlier Honda Superdreams were notorious for it, apparently.

Looking at other posts this seems really trivial. I just joined and posted Hi on the newbies forum. Somebody said Hi to me on chat but I can't get on to the chat room to reply.....how do I get on to this flaming thing???

As a full member, you should have no problems entering chat. If you look under the dialogue you will see several boxes. One allows you to select a colour of your choice, and one will allow you to enter text. You can also whisper to selected chatroom members by clicking on the box that says 'All Users', have another go and see how you get on.

It saddened me to hear that Alvin Stardust, a huge musical influence in my youth, had died on Thursday 23rd of Oct, of prostate cancer, at the age of 72.

Similar sad news to double six's... I've just heard that Jack Bruce has passed away. I was a red-hot Cream fan. "Never Tell Your Mother She's Out Of Tune."

Sorry to hear that Valencia. Jack was given an honorary degree at my daughters graduation a few years back and it was interesting to hear and/or be reminded of the extent of his influence on popular music.
