Catkins, Fishermans Blues I heard round about the same time I heard Steve Earle I was always at the road racing every weekend in those days (was lucky to have a Mon to Fri job then) and those fella's tunes were always being played at the pubs round the racing circuits ... fabulous memories of great times spent with the smell of oil and petrol fumes round the track, the urgency and buzzing around in the minutes before the races, then everything went by in a whoosh and a good pint of the black stuff at the end of it all.... yeeooooowwww
P.S. I talk so much shite at times, off on a tangent I go, I go on go on go on and go on ....sorry! I'm Irish canny help it.... those who want to will read it, those who don't well bless y'all x
Ah Jethro Tull another great band, wish I could have a wee afternoon sesh of good music now but alas off to work, music will have to wait 'til later unfortunately...have a good day with the tunes
Just got honme from accompanying my daughter to a gig at Fibbers in York (I'm a sucker for a freebie!).
I went expecting not alot but WOW! A fab gig by Less Than Jake, from the first couple of bars the crowd danced manically, we had loo roll streamers, balloons, crowd surfing, Evolution Kid and all sorts of merriment! Thoroughly enjoyed myself, and on a school night too, I'm such a rebel!!
Thank you Rhianna, you better get on writing up the review, i want another freebie please!
