@zed, that not mean your day is now half-done and the weekend starts sooner?

No? Why would anything be that straightforward!

@izzy & Danny -turned out to be a nightmare as I suspected. An hour behind before getting to first drop and it went downhill from there. Broughty Ferry -Carnoustie -Arbroath- Kirriemuir-Forfar-Montrose and loads of other places before going back to Dundee .Then got stuck on A9 for 2 hours on way back 0500 to1945 - What a life

Sounds like a wee scots version of @stuie!

((Big Hugs)) for @zed rider, nice hot bath, a dram or two, a hot meal n an early bed will help. Alternatively, ditch the early bed n party like there is no tomorrow!

Should have been at pub listening to band, but have spent the evening at A&E with my niece who managed to throw boiling water from the kettle over her left hand :( 15 minutes of holding under the cold tap, smothering it with E45 and wrapping it in clingfilm, off to A&E we went (advice from Dr Son lol)

Lucky lass, because we acted so quickly she stopped the damage from being worse than it could have been. 2nd degree burns over a patch of skin about 4 inches wide.

Her 2 year old daughter now thinks Mommy has a magic glove on lol

Aww sorry to here that BJ, its a gut wrenching situation where children are concerned. Glad it's not as serious as it could of been , well done for the quick responce preventing more damage.
My lad pulled a hot cup of coffee off the table when he was 4, luckily it missed his face and landed on his clothes, a quick undress soon sorted it. still a frightening experience. Kid's eh , they keep us on our toes..

Not much makes me sad but this did today. An old friend who had been in alcohol recovery for many years fell off the wagon.... am very sad for his family.

David, its hard watching someone wreck their life again but like you say it is primarily his kids and wife I feel sad for, not him....he can go f**k. Thankyou x

The sad and tragic death of Ann Maguire in Leeds.

My heart goes out to her family, friends, colleagues and pupils.

I didn't know Ann Maguire, so IMO is't hard to be sad about the death of someone I didn't know, but what I can be sad about is the state of the world we live in which enables a sensless murder.....which is what this was, to happen.
