Oooh TAB007 - abroad sounds a fabbie idea !! I am in the same boat as you - gotta get this test done but crappy weather on the way puts me off till next spring ! Maybe just keep getting out on my 125 and getting that experience in all weather a double six says - cant hurt (unless ya do a falling off thing !)
Let me know if ya can do it abroad and still be legal here !
Just been for a ride out to The Manor Cafe. Tigertim was there doing his all year biker stuff. Must say I'm tempted, it'll be worth the money just to see me bike that clean!!! Bit cold and the roads a tad slimy but riding me bike is always better than not riding me bike
Left her clean and shiny in the garage and let Andy chauffeur me around the Cowal Peninsula on Queenie instead! Beautiful scenery, even in the driech conditions - which at least served to keep Sunday drivers out of the way! Can't wait to go again on two bikes when it warms up.
TAB007. Why not do your test over the winter? It will get you used to riding in the wet and cold just in time for summer! That's only half in jest! If you can ride in winter summer is a doddle! And you will be able to book your test a lot quicker I expect before the spring rush.
According to Izzy, I chauffeur'd her on a 160 + mile trip !! me I call it being Her Biatch pmsl ,, twas a fantastic ride though and will defo be doing it again. Roads wet but a nearly dry day still didn't spoil a brilliant ride
I have failed my MOD1 twice now due to my nerves, and trying to get any road time in this weather is becoming a nightmare. I will continue to work on it, because I just want to ride. How difficult is it to pass - but my nerves are a nightmare!
Taboo, you are not the first and you won't be the last, just keep getting as much riding practice whenever you can. You will beat your nerves soon and when you do, there'll be no holding you down.
