Well, it was yesterday now
But ........................ 61 miles in 45 mins
40 of those were on an A road
Scary thing is ... I wasn't trying
Just making steady progress
I must commend all those considerate car drivers who obligingly made room for me
And shake a weary head at those, who still stubbornly refuse to move over
When they can't make progress
I only gave her a "squirt" a couple o times honestly
But I enjoyed every millimetere traveled
Well - it was yesterday - lubed and adjusted the chain, changed the oil and sorted tyre pressures out - oh and a quick polish ! All so that could go out today - and look at the bloomin weather !! Grrrr
Well done Jood
You can be one of my assistants at the maintenance day
From the sounds of it there's not much I need to show you
@Kc, I always like to "make progress" as the manual recommends
@ 66, riding "quickly" is a bit different from riding "fast"
But it's mainly about making steady progress
And using good observation & roadcraft to avoid situations that could "impede"* you
It's better to keep up a steady average than short bursts of acceleration and heavy breaking
* other vehicles & road conditions
Well done Jood that sounds great you did all that, well done.
Police riders can't ride fast thats why they have to hide up trees, in builders vans, and fly around in helicopters to collect money from us, too risky
The bike has been in my garage since Sunday, with the battery on the conditioner. The weather in London has been good so far this week. If it wasn't for work I would have been out and about making the most of it
been out on plumbskis bike. bit of scatching on the cat and fiddle and holed up in the stanley arms.......few hot toddys ,mussells followed by plenty of fun ..... still alive and kicking at 3 45. that's what I call living!!!!
