What made me happy, I had the results of the MRI hip scan, there is nothing there, so its all muscle damage and I should have a full recovery over time.
What made me unhappy, I had the results of the MRI shoulder scan...... It wont get better.
Ho hum, time for a new bike then! lolol
Yay & boo for Fraglette... Is there nothing they can do to help with your shoulder? Alternatives? Always worth exploring every avenue where health and mobility is concerned.
I'm not sure i like being talked about in the "what made me unhappy" forum TM... probably a bit too close to the truth for my liking ;o)
I have already tried the physio terrorist approach & accupuncture. The way the specialist discribed the shoulder problem is that it is like artheritis and there is nothing that they can do. I am due to have a steriod injection to try and reduce the inflamation and make it easier. The Physio said that I would have to do the exercises for the rest of my life to prevent the shoulder seizing.
Pigging bikes, they have a lot to answer for, but i wouldnt be without one (or 2 in my case)
Lets hope the exercises and anti-inflamatories help at least. Is it actually inflamation in the joint itself? Might be worth looking at supplements like Glucosamine sulphate (I think that's its name - definitely glucosamine anyway!) and any sort of oils - e.g. cods liver... all supposed to be good for joint suppleness etc. I have terrible ankles from years of doing ballet and when I remember to take the supplements it does help reduce the cracking!
Isn't copper also supposed to help with arthritic conditions? Turns your skin green though!
