Finding out a very dear friend had a very bad stroke last night ... Shes only 36 and just had her first baby (3 months old) Prognosis not great but keeping EVERYTHING crossed for them
Kind of puts things in perspective ... can you imagine not being to even hold your baby
I'm really sorry to hear that about your friend Rockchick. You're so right about it putting things into perspective. Jeez, that is terrible. I wish her a full & speedy recovery!
being given the all clear yesterday & then waking up this morning feeling like I have been run over with a steam roller, every bone aches & my clothing hurts my skin, I am freezing cold but sweating like a loony
Feisty that's truly awful to hear.. been through it myself and it's not anything I would wish for others... Hugs lovely and Prayers.. Love and Light too for both your friends...
Hugs too for anyone else who needs them.. My day was very publicy shitty on FB yesterday but I got tonnes of support.. mostly from BM folk funily enough so time to pay it forward with huge Geordie Lush Hugs from li'll ole me..
Was gonna have a nice ole rant, seems a bit pointless in light of the c-word. Hope your friend recovers well Tricia, think we've all suffered in some form or another because of cancer..whether ourselves or a loved one.
On another note:
From my observations cars seem to be noticing us less as the days get warmer and longer and their driving seems to be getting worse. Maybe something about there being more bikes on the road, so they expect to see us more, so we blend into the background better. I dunno, but watch yourselves out there boys and girls.
Apparently, leaving a 99yr old immobile lady without a working hoist to lift her in/out of wheelchair/bed and onto toilet/commode is not considered an emergency and engineers will get to her "when they can"
Thank goodness for an amazing team of carers who have done their best under circumstances that would try a saint
