Your post made me smile Tangoman check your calendar its only the 17th today, even an oldie like me knows that, so don't blame it on an age thing.
well actually - (puts the I know everything coat on) - the shortest day is 21 Dec (I know this as the longest day is the 21 June < my birthday >
So only a few more days of this incessant darkness!!!
errrr..apparently they're saying that it's likely to be a white Christmas (putting the I'm a weatherman coat on) - we're likely to get the backend of the weather that the States has been getting <not as severe thank gawd!>
Well let this be a warning to you all and put a smile on your faces, when going to the post office to post your christmas cards make sure the carrier bag you lug all the way there does in fact contain the said cards not like me, after standing in the queue for some 20 mins of precious lunch time, get to the counter open the bag to take out the cards and realise I had picked up the carrier bag that contained all my paperwork I needed to shred. Well I just smiled at the lady behind the counter wished her merry xmas and made a sharp exit, never gave a thought to just purchasing the stamps I needed and putting them on the cards when I returned home.
hey Di - think it's something to do with the wobble that the earth has (been drinking) & the shift in the year - with leap years springing up etc etc etc (ok ok - I've been watching too many scientific programmes!!!!! ) But usually it's the 21st
