Gosh this thread is getting as bad as the "hugs hun" "luvsyou" rubbish.
When I started this thread a very long time ago it was started to put things that made you smile that would be nice to share, like getting out on your bike and feeling good, having a good ride on your bike, things that people have done or achieved that you want to share as its made you happy.
Everyone knows that when you have a girlfriend/boyfriend/partner call them whatever, you will be seeing them and you will be happy to see them (well most the time) but do we need to keep reading it on here everyday you see them.
This is not aimed any person in particular and just my own point of view so I am not expecting everyone to agree with me on my comments nor take offense for what I have put.
whats so wrong with being happy or excited about getting a new bike, ans if a newbiecomes on the site and see that you can find happiness etc and it promotes the site...well unless i hear from a mod or matt i wont change being me !!!!!!..........how about starting a thread re...."can i find something else to moan about "...this isnt pointed at anyone !!!!
Altho I agree with you C G, it is irritating to read about every little action done, you did type the following:
it's nice to hear/read about people being happy and smiling it's what lifes all about.
so can't really blame them for posting what they do.
so should the thread state...dont post if your seeing friends/partners/whatever.........or if there is a meet the fact you see a friend or partner, or all the psoting after the ure or mcn or the meet at your house cg you cant have it all ways, if you dont like it dont read it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I totally agree yeah its a big grin factor getting a new bike and great to share it, gosh I was on cloud nine when I got my new bike earlier in the year and wanted to shout it from the tree tops so fully understand where you coming from on that one Ian. I didn't sleep the night before I got mine with excitement.
You just make sure you take care and keep safe out there on a new bike today as the roads around here don't look that inviting after all last nights rain and with new tyres.
As for the finding happiness via the site and promoting it as a dating site then I am sure there is a thread about that and also one for you to put a testimonial on.
Think you are missing the point and Ian don't take this as aimed at you, yeah its great to read about meet ups and such likes what I was meaning is everytime I meet up with my partner I am like a school kid with excitement but just imagine if I posted that on here everyday you would all soon get fed up with reading it, thats what I was meant, there are a lot of single people on this site who would love to be meeting up with someone special and get down at the fact that they are still single.
The wind and rain . . . . . means i dont have to go fit a satellite system today and can watch England beat Argentina at rugby in my local!!! - Thats on tv of course, not a full international actually being played in the pub!
Well I'm firmly on CG's side of the fence on this one. Time and a place and too much of a good thing etc.
There is no need for anyone to get aggressive/defensive or personal when stating their opinions, before this turns into a slanging match which I'm sure no one wants to see.
Im also i agreememnt wiv CG, its great to hear of people meeting some1 special through the site, as lots of you have and I am happy tp know that you have found what you want, wot makes u happy, but reading all the time that you are waiting for them to come around/made u a nice dinner etc does get on ya nerves a bit, also its personal and I think should be said through a pm.
As to what has made me happy today.............purchasing a waterproof jacket to wear when out riding.............no more soggy leathers(or jumpers, teeshirts etc)..............bring on the rain
