'Note: Your profile will no longer display your tagged photos until I've decided what to do with that system (might have to scrap it)'
Be a shame to loss em but you cant have everything lol
PLEASE MATT ,... if your scrapping the tagged pics, let us know 1st?
It would be nice if we had the chance to get them off the system before they vanish.
It would have been nice to have got them off before the changes were made today, it was a shock to log on & see them all gone, its now going to take hours trawling through all the events that Mr P & I have been to to get the pics.
Can we not have a single album that has 'tagged photos' in it ?
DONT WORRY! I still have them, all the tagged records are still there.
Thing is, when i remake the events section I don't think the tagging system will work with the popup window (When u click profile pics now, they open in a java splashscreen kinda thing).
I may create an album for tagged pics and just leave the events photos... would that suit you?
but dont worry as i say, i just wanted to get this new work of mine out there to see how it goes, if it works for everyone etc.
And i had to do it promptly because if it doesn't work then I'll get my money back for the upload components which cost me a bit
That would be a good one Matt ... if all tagged pics went into one album just like as before all tagged pics showed in a seperate 'bit'
I dont know about what others think but for me it would be a shame to lose the tagging option as at meets we meet up with people we only chat to on here (& to be honest ... the tagging helps me remembr who they are sometimes )
ok ok ok! :-)
I'll work on it tomorrow night cos im off work on Wednesday. I'm writing a new CV tonight cos I'm applying for one job tomorrow (Also in Philips, but I'm bored with my current one)
wooo hoooooooo at last i have been able to get rid of that stupid profile pic that Wheelie keeps accusing me of doing the 'birdy dance' instead i have one of me sat on a cool chair in a shop in Whitby Thank You Matt xx
DOH!!! lol.
Yea the new one does it all for you. The difference is that you have to download a component and install it on your PC (as that's where the resizing is done, i.e before you upload the files).
Saves a lot of bandwidth time, saves your uploading time to the server and saves me a lot of work resizing all the images every week on the server.
I'm still thinking about the limits though, as I don't want some folks uploading thousands of photos and filling the server up (Though I've got 8TB of storage space which will take a LONG time to fill up lol)
get some more photos uploaded now then, create some albums and tell me how you find the new system.
I wanna see many more photos added to the server now that i've made it easy for you all to do. No more 1-file uploads. :-)
Matt:
the photo's that are already in the album, that you've created, are MIXED up. I wanted to move them around so created another album to start with then realised I can't move them I have to upload them all again.
Is there any way you can make it so we can move the photo's from one album to another, without having to upload them all again? Please?
