Aww Shell, There are some bad dog owners out there, i think most people feel bad when they hurt an animal, i dont think you could have avoided it.............It can be quite unnerving when a dog runs at you on a bike. Was obviously the silly cow of an owners fault hun xxxx

Shell you are lucky you managed to stay upright. not your fault, not the dog's either, its an animal without the power of reasoning. Sounds a bit like its owner. Its self preservation at the end of the day when on 2 wheels. Others would have done the same. Glad you are ok, so what are the police doing about the owner???

Big hugs CG its hard dealing with any funeral but to deal with your own childs, no one should have to do that.

Makes my incident with the dog seem trivial, but for those who have asked, the police asked me if I wanted the dog destroyed, which I said no as its the owners fault, they were taking the dog off to have treatment, they said they would be charging the owner with failing to keep the dog under control & that if I had an accident doe to shock from the incident then she would be charged with that.

I have since checked & the dog did see a vet & has been taken off the woman, subject to an investigation, I did break its leg just below the shoulder

Shell if that dog had of ran out infront of a car instead of yr bike, it would have a lot more than a broken leg, also if it had of caused you to come off it could of been you with the broken leg

Tonight COULD be my last shift. Most of our shop floor people (me included) get letters tomorrow, and over a hundred of us will be made redundant. Thirty per cent of all fitters (me) to go, so even if i survive it, a lot of mates are going to lose their jobs. "Let's make a load of defence cuts then involve ourselves in another war"...great idea, lol.
Oh well, such is life.
