Took my dog to put put to sleep today. He was nearly 17 and he was very ill this morning.
My ex husband and my 2 kids came with me and it was the hardest thing I've witnessed. Jasper was definately one of the family and we all miss him so much.
RIP Jas xxxxxxxxxxx
((((karey)))) Know what you're going through. It's the hardest thing to do but it's the kindest thing you'll ever do for Jasper. My thoughts are with you xxx
watching the natural world about Elsa (remember Born Free??) and hte other lions that they lived with back then......there are now less than 2000 lions in kenya.... its disgusting and has actually made me cry watching it both george and his wife who lived and saved lions were murdered by those who wanted money...d
humans hunt lions with guns and use their heads as a trophy... they say until the lion is about 5 or 6 years its not fair game.... liek any liion hasa chance against a gun..
sorry but this stuff really makes me so f**kin sad and angry.... I only wish i was strong enough to actualy do somthing about it.... maybe that is what the new moon will bring for me....strength act.....! x
yup in deed some humans really need to re-think priorities - would be great if the poachers all got ripped apart and eaten by lions slowly an painfully!!! they even showed one young lion who remembered the two guys years later who had looked after him and he came running up to greet them... ahhh at least there is some good folks in the world still fighting for hte cause and doing good stuff... all hail to them i say...
So sorry karey to hear about your dog. My dog died a week ago.
The thing that made me sad today was all my friends were busy this evening, I put the kids to bed and for the first time since me and my X husband split Iv felt loanley. Think its that I don't have the little dog to talk too!!! miss him so much the dog that is not the X
Shaza ..
Yeh I know what you mean.. little things like getting up in the morning..the routine things have gone. He's not there greeting me in a morning..he's not there to put his head on my knee when he knows I'm sad.
jeeeeez...leaky eyes again
Remember the fun things, like I remember we could never mention the 'bath' we had to spell it out, otherwise he would get hidden
Chin up lass, if you're like me, you will have lots of good mates, whether they're on here or a phone/txt away.. they've kept my head above water.
xSuzix.. It's heartbreaking what goes on with the big cats eh? I love Lions and Tigers ( guess that's the Leo in me) I wish the poachers would get ripped apart too!
I'm a single parent of a 17 year old daughter, who doesn't have a part time job, has only her money from college coming in so doesn't pay rent or anything towards utilities, and thinks that half doing her bedroom once every 2 or 3 months, and doing the dishes once a month, consitutes helping with housework, grr. Dangerous age!!
Cheese ... I taught my kids that if they didn't clean up I would ... my version of cleaning their room involved a black bin bag & anything that was not where it should have been or was on the floor & should not have been was binned, this also carried on to clothes that were left in the bathroom or the washing machine for longer than 24 hours, and any dirty pots that they left in the kitchen were placed in a bowl & left in their room, they learnt to clean up after themselves
My Dad was in the Army for twenty four years and spent the last ten to fifteen of those as a staff sergeant (drill sergeant in the USA) in the 39 Signals posted alongside the Royal Marines and the SAS (although I didn't know this until he left and I saw the plaque!).
