Decided to pop down to A & E last night after slipping over on a damp path in the morning.Apart from grazed knees,my left hand hurt like hell & I had trouble gripping stuff-turns out they think I fractured my wrist.
Funny thing is they asked me how long ago since I last broke it-don`t remember that onebut apparently there`s a chip floating around on the opposite side to the current problem.
So can`t ride the Kwacka for a while `coz I can`t pull the clutch in,can drive the car,just hurts a bit when I change gear.Not sure if I can ride the 100cc step-thru yet,that`s semi-automatic so no clutch lever to pull in,depends on whether I can grip the bars.
Have to go back to fracture clinic in a week to have it checked again.

Thanks Shell,hope to recover soon `coz I work on car restoration so need to find out tomorrow whether boss is happy to find me some lighter work in the meantime or if I`m gonna have to take time off sick.
Good job the hospital havn`t done a full body X-ray otherwise they`ll probably find a few more from all the other knocks in the past....

On a positive note,may I join the many on this site in congratulating you on your news.

What made me sad today - a fellow member of this site was killed yesterday while out on his bike - RIP - i unfortunately did not get to meet you - but u seemed like a wonderful and genuine person.. my thoughts with his nearest and dearest.

on my way to work in my car this morning a man in the car behind me threw something at my car and smashed the rear window completley! i was in a line of traffic and he wanted to go left. he wanted me to move forward but the gap would have been too small so i staye dwhere i was. then when lights changed i moved forward and as i did he threw something at me! i have a witness but she was as upset as me so didnt get his reg fully. the police cannot trace him. it will be in bolton evening news tomorrow. i am soo upset and still in shock. i now have no car till new window put in . hopeful i will get it back tomozz...... what a day!
