*takes a bow* thank ya lol
p.s. he's not off this site,... BON .. his wife found his profile n modified it a little, now all his friends have deleted him too pmsl
Good for you CC.
My ex cheated on me and it was horrible ... at first anyway, after a while I got to the point where I didn't care anymore. Of course if I had met the guy I'd have probably stuck my spade in his skull lol!!
.a bloke bin chattin me up, actually met him too, turns out he is married
Hate to pop the balloon here, but I hope you met him on neutral territory and not at your home?
Personally I'd have thanked her for the heads-up, apologised, moved on and not played any part in her schemes. Revenge has a nasty habit of turning round and biting you on the bum.
If he knows where you live, seriously, up your security and don't answer the door until you're sure who's on the other side of it. He most likely won't see that he was in the wrong, he'll perceive you as the cause for his wife to receive confirmation of her fears that he was playing around.
These folk rarely accept responsibility for their own actions and always like to blame somebody else. Switch off your phones at night too, or you could find yourself getting lovely phone calls at all hours.
That site does my head in. There are so many married folk, men and women, trying to pass themselves off as "single". I even had one swear blind to me that he'd only put "married" on his profile to weed out the potential bunny boilers and that he was, in fact, single.
Wannabe
yes of course i met him on neutral ground i aint that stupid, i only agreed to meet him as we went to same school 25 years ago, that bit was true, as for beefing up security if he actually found out where i live then get passed my 3 german sheps then he'd have to deal with me n i bite even harder!!!
good for u turning the other cheek but as his wife wanted to punish him i was more than happy to help, if u just walk away he will think he can treat women like door mats, i for one BITE BACK.
Iv'e been smiling since arriving last friday , 6 days of sunny weather , collected my car , had a few rides on my triumph and today found a flat in York in which to settle for at least the next 6 months...
nice one caz...... my daughter ran in the schools qualifiers for the county athletic champs..........she is only 9....she came first in the first heat...then 2nd in the final...so she has made the county finals in the 60m sprint...well done g....dad is so proud of ya x
Apologies CC - I wasn't insinuating that you were stupid in any way, shape or form by my question - it was merely an expression of concern.
I know that I've let folk pick me up from home on many an occasion, after I've spent at least a few weeks getting to know them as best I can via emails and phone calls, or I've met up with them in a group situation.
It's not about turning the other cheek. I just don't like the negativity of "revenge" / "hate" / "anger" etc. It's a waste of energy and a double-edged sword. I'm a great believer in getting back what you put into this world and if you send out hate and anger, you'll likely get it back, with knobs on!
If I've just met up with somebody for a bevvie, then I haven't been wronged in any case. I've just had a drink with someone who, it turns out, isn't actually available. It's regrettable, but I'm only guilty of taking someone on face value. I've had a heads-up from his missus and I won't see him again. Not a problem. I'll just be grateful that I found out so soon, before I'd been taken in by any further lies and ended up having some kind of relationship with the bloke.
I'd be more likely to pull him up on it, depending on the circumstances and exactly what he'd been saying to me, but that's just my way of dealing with things. Direct confrontation. If someone's been out of order towards me, they get told.
It's great that you're confident about the security your dogs afford you. I was speaking from personal experience when I gave you that advice out of concern for your welfare... I've been stalked... It's no fun. I'm pretty well known for standing up for myself, but it wears even the strongest person down. Constant phoning / texting / threats etc 24/7. Pretty stressful way to exist. At the time I had it happening, I was 2IC for a security firm and had no option but to be available via phone 24 hours a day. (And incidentally, had a veritable army of doormen all begging me for the bloke's address so they could pay him a visit and have a word! But it's not my style. I fight my own battles.)
