What made me smile was the lad on the yellow bike(firestorm i think) i pulled up behind at the lights just now. I had come down the o/s of the traffic and stopped behind him. Into to neutral, flipped open visor and just sat there. Saw him look in his mirror, then flip open his black visor and look again(for ages), then shut his visor, then look again. I think he was a bit stunned to realise it was a bird behind him! I swear he rode into Gt Harwood with one eye permanently on his right mirror! Made me laugh anyway

I am smiling after going to a brilliant Gary Moore gig tonight and also knowing that moon is over the moon at finally getting a bike. chunkychick congrats on a great maths exam result. DC surely this has helped your confidence on your bike, whenever your out riding now just think of that guy and you will smile and relax. Thanks karey, my tests have all come back normal but now need more tests to explain why I am in so much pain, only still up at silly o'clock now waiting for painkillers to kick in.

Thats good news but hope you get some answers soon CG I was 2 years going for tests but all was well in the end Keep yer chin up gal we're all here for ya Well done CC, and DC, I dont know why guys find it so hard to believe a girl on a bike? In my experience (which is considerable if I say so meslef ) girls are just as good and sometimes better riders than a lot of guys who think they can ride Em

The attatude of the sales lad in Bridge Exeter today. Pounced when I walked in "Anything I can help you with Sir." Didnt get that I was looking for a new bike around 1000cc. Showed me loads of second hand 600's Told him I wouldnt be buying for few months. At which point he lost interest and walked off. Totally different from Moto sport Aprilia in Wareham last week who couldnt help enough

So much for the "credit crunch" Mick You'd think they would be falling over you to offer test rides, coffee anything for your business Hope you find what you're looking for, elsewhere

Nice one XK

Seems jobs are rarer than hens teeth at the mo... at least any jobs you could actually afford to get to! I keep getting offers of minimum wage 4-6 hours a shift, 50 miles away.

Eh? Once I've paid petrol and toll fees & spent probably 4 hours a day in the motor there'll be nowt left! Ah well... I have savings enough to last about another month, so it's not panic time yet.

Meanwhile, the sparkly empire continues bubbling away in the background... Not exactly making a living from it, but at least the cats will be fed the finest Kit-e-kat for a while! I'm not going to jinx it until anything materialises from it, but an utterly fabulous phone call today regarding the sparkly stuff made me smile... and jump up & down whilst squealing quite a lot too Now if I could *just* calm down enough to actually MAKE some more stuff, I'll be well happy
