Just pannicked the builder at my house. Told him I was going out to wash the filters from my pond, he saw me lift the manhole cover in the garden then he said the next thing he heard was me scream and he thought I had fell down it, in fact I had just saw a mouse run across in front of me in the garage. Not sure who was shaking more me or the builder. Think this serves as a gentle nudge to tell me to clear out my garage, anyone want an exercise bike or buy a betamax video recorder with all the tapes, or even a very early Olivetti (spl) electric typewriter. lol gosh how long is it since I last had a clear out.

Pah! Sleep is for wimps! Erm... Actually I'm feeling quite wimpy at the mo...

This has made me grin this morning! Going from "ain't nature great?" to "the sight of a mouse made me scream" in no time at all! Love it... and love the image in my head of CG leaping on top of an exercise bike, screaming at the top of her voice and her poor breathless builder dashing to the "rescue".

If only I was so lucky Wannabe, being rescued by the builder would be worth the embarrassement of being caught sitting on an exercise bike and not my motorbike. Think I am going for a lie down now all far too much excitement for a 78yr old.

Teehee! Perhaps your knight in shining builder's bum will fan you and mop your brow? You take care my lovely and watch that adrenaline stuff... I don't want you dashing off bungee jumping at your time of life!

Getting up early this morning and re-attempting a corner where I nearly came off yesterday after a silver BMW came round the blind corner on my side of the road and I had to take avoiding action... Country lane, fairly steep hill, lots of marbles and silt on the road which is ok as you could pick a line through it - three things in my favour: nothing coming the other way (as I was flip-flapping on the wrong side of the road trying to recover), the low centre of gravity of the Harley and not riding faster than my Guardian Angels can fly! Had a smile on my face as I rode past my skidmark...

I am happy to report there were NO involuntary body functions - in fact heart didn't skip a beat and not an ounce of adrenaline flowed.

A fantastic meal out with all my family; Roachy, the parents and my sister and her family, very kindly paid for by my parents to celebrate my 40th. Ok, getting a big wet kiss on the cheek from the brother in law wasn't too cool, but everyone else found it funny lol! I love them all .... (soppy head on)
