First ride-out of the year when my teeth weren't chattering. No sun, mind you, but at least spring was just round the corner.

Just checked the met office forecast....hmmm, it would appear that spring is NOT on the way UK Outlook for Tuesday 24 Feb 2009 to Thursday 5 Mar 2009: Tuesday and Wednesday are expected to be generally dry and bright towards the south and southwest of England and Wales, while a brisk west to northwesterly wind brings more cloud and occasional rain to Northern Ireland, Scotland and northern England. As we head towards the weekend, the weather is set to turn increasingly unsettled, windier and somewhat colder, with heavier showers or longer spells of rain - especially in the north where snow is likely to fall on higher ground. Any clearer weather overnight will lead to widespread frost. The rather cold and unsettled theme is most likely to continue into the first week of March, with temperatures generally near or below the seasonal average.
