hey , its whatever floats your boat, and i agree re judging peeps from just looks etc.....god look at me for god sake and LC chose me lmao.....so its a case of whatever makes you happy imo !!!
yea see eventually someone decided not to bother about Ian's looks, so it can work out ok after all lol.
No a pic is not compulsary at all, it's just polite to have one if you're using the site for dating (Though not everyone is, many use the site just for it's social aspect and events).
If someone approached me without a photo, I'd politely ask them to upload a photo and I wouldn't have any more contact with them until they uploaded one. For as far as I'm concerned, those not putting a pic up are normally hiding something (or from someone).
I think married folks (Men and women alike) use sites such as this for that bit on the side, and it's them who wont upload a photo.
You should get a friend to catch you on camera when you're not expecting it, a natural looking photo is the best kind. It's not that people will judge you on your photo/looks, but will feel more secure talking to you if they know who you are.
I advise all the ladies here not to meet anyone without a photo, and to try and meet the first time at one of our events, for security reasons of course.
I'm honest and legit - and totally single Matt lol !!!!!!! hahaha
I'll try me best but until I'm happy with a pic, there's no way it's going to be posted. That's that!
Ain't daft enuff to ever have been married so no worries there !!! lol
Cheers all !!
Hey Rossi - most of us are pretty camera-shy, but it's worth loading a photo of yourself for other reasons... some people only use the "browse online" section when they're looking for someone to have a chat with... your ID won't come up on the "who's online" list without a photograph on your profile.
It's not necessarily that people will judge others on their looks, just that they'll be justifiably wary of meeting someone they've not at least seen a photograph of.
Years ago, I agreed to meet up with someone who point-blank refused to let me see a photo of him beforehand. His self description was something like "rugged - think rugby player type".... Hmmm... Can't say I've noticed that many short, fat, effeminate rugby players about?! I think Gaydar would've been more his scene but he was somewhat in denial!
It will help your chances of getting to chat to more people if you have a photo up, so be brave and go for it. We all exercise strict quality control on our pics... and beg people not to post them on the events pages when our double/treble chins and spare tyres are on view!
Yeh, I did fall in love with Ians silly picture, it's him!! silly buggar, thats what I was looking for.... thats what I got!!! Put your piccy on Rossi, women look for a man who is proud just to be himself!!! Go on
Ian looks better in person than he does in his photo's.
Some folk have their photo's on and put 'good looking' or 'handsome' well beauty is in the eye of the beholder, in my case the beerholder, so that's not always an accurate statement.
I just prefer to see a photo of the folks I interact with. After all it's a social site not Cilla's Blind Date. I don't care what a person looks like I just like to see a person not a silhouette of one.
