Yes it looks like a hospital case , maybe best to get the specialists on it now as you seem to have exhausted all other options . not for the lack of trying ! good luck again
Just got back from 'Lee Motorcycles' in Ledbury. They found the problem, and cured it within 2 hours, at a very good price, Highly reccommended!!
It was a coil breaking down. As soon as he put it up on rolling road, and put some load on, he found it.
Also replace plugs while we were at it - they were originals, had only done 21500 but for sake of £13 it was worth it.
Rode long way home 1 1/2 hours with no problems.
Just goes to show, its easy to check coil resistance with ohm meter, but it means nothing. Even a faulty coil will show acceptable readings!
After almost 2 months of me tinkering and swearing a lot, all it took was somewhere with the right gear(DYNOJET tuning), a couple of hours, and little over £150 . . . Priceless!!
Thats made my day! and good for you Slidy i'm sure wer'e all glad ur wheels are turning again , now all we need is for HFG to get sorted and Geoffs handling her case on another post.
As I said earlier, just like my old Sprint. Running rough most of the time and sudden inexplicable backfires especially after washing with no more than a low pressure hose. I should have gone to a specialist like you did rather than constantly chucking it back at people who didn't know what they're doing. Your £150 was money well spent.
Agreed Cataraptor , unfortunately its in our nature to fiddle and fix before as a last resort we head for the specialists , and , once you get started its hard to stop fiddling is'nt it ...l'm sure Slidy wont be using a "HIGH" pressure washer on his Triumph again in a hurry, i certainly wont as i have an older 93 model and know for a fact i'll pick up problems . Happy riding Slidy.
