I will say it sp welcome home. What made me smile today was being able to manage looking after my little grandaughter without too much pain after my injection yesterday, the smiles and cuddles she gave me worked better than any painkillers could have done. I feel so lucky that I can still work fulltime hours and have Friday off to spend all day with her. This also made me laugh yesterday, going for my regular stroke assesment/check up and being told I wasn't allowed to leave the surgery until I had seen the duty dr, going in to see him and being greeted by a very arrogant dr, saying why are you here to see me, tried to explain to him but he didn't want to know, then today I get home and find a letter saying to me I need to contact the surgery regards the results of my last tests, they had been trying to phone me. Oh yeah while I was in with the dr he also told me off for not going back two weeks ago after a check up at the hospital which said I need to be seen straight away, I did go but there was no letter from the hospital so was told it wasn't worth being seen. No wonder I spend half my time confused

What made me proud today? The resolute determination of an 112 year old veteran to personally lay his wreath in remembrance to his fallen brothers at the Cenotaph. Tears were rolling down my cheeks....

Definately TC. Seeing a packed Tescos fall silent for 2 minutes at 11am this morning, kind of brought a lump to my throat too. Then having an old soldier tell me that just because us younger blokes didn't see service in WW1 or 2 didn't mean we didn't have his upmost rescect for the fact we'd served our country in other theatres, that really made me feel chuffed to bits, brought back a feeling of pride. This country should have a lot more feeling towards all the servicemen & women that are spending time they vollunteered for right now.
