Went to a bike night at the Parish Oven pub in Thorpe Salvin last night. (Monday 23rd May)

The route there looked straight forward, down to Half Moon Pub and next left. Didn't realize that there was another left that I had to take and ended up in Rhodesia (No, the town in Derbyshire, not the country) but eventually found a sign to the right place and got there.

It was a bit cold and threatening rain, plus the meet is fairly new having only been going for a couple of weeks, so not many there.

Pub had put on a BBQ and were selling tea and coffee as well as the bar being open, of course.

Hopefully, as people know about it and the weather on a Monday nights are better, more people will go.

Seems you have to click on the square below to see the picture

Hmm not the first Mondeo I have seen in flames on the side of the road.

Come to think of it that's not the second or even third one! Fuel rails in the wrong place maybe ?

certainly didn't take long to be completely gutted, couldn't chance sneaking past as all the air bags kept blowing with white hot pieces flying

Hehe for supposedly flame retardant vehicles they defiantly go up quick.

Also got a price for a few other bits I will change in a few months when I do a full strip down and refurb on bike. Plus will be out in the sun and on the road again very soon, just stopped for some food lol.

Late start (2'ish) to Portpatrick but that meant the roads were lovely and quiet.

Amazing to be riding home, heading due north up the M74, at 9 in the evening and straight in to the sun

A tidy 250 mile round trip.

Went with some other Midlands Riders from Alfreton to Cromford and up to Carsington for a coffee break.

Then to Dovedale and a gridlock of traffic before finding a car park that 'did' bikes and then on foot to the stepping stones and photos for the Midlands Riders website.

After I got home, took the trike out and went with a mate to a bike meet, where we were the only trike riders.

I don't need a partner, I have mates on two and three wheels who will see me through.

Let's see lol, well started on Saturday. Replaced shock linkage barrings, replaced grease nipples on linkage and swing arm. Striped back end of bike and cleaned and painted rear frame area (already done front of frame) cleaned and painted odds and sods around bike.

Sunday just a quick run to shops lol.

Today finished tuching up the bits and bobs on bike, then decided to test painting the lower half of the engine lol, will be painting a bit more in the morning lol.
