Crazy human behaviour .. Maybe it is seen as the most sensible even when it defeats the object.. (Contrary to popular belief.. the Icequeen has been known to melt).. Learn to love onerself .. a phrase/sentiment often expressed, but what does it actually mean?.. Thank you em for giving me the incentive to curb my curiousity and to good old google for some welcomed enlightenment.. and to Bob Livingstone for this simple example of what self love is all about.. You are loving yourself when: You are able to live in the present rather than worrying about the future, or agonising over the past. When you are living in the present, there is no room for this dread; You realize that you are beating yourself up and then stop; You learn to focus on something other than feeling guilty or regretful; You actually believe that you are a decent person and have gifts to offer the world; You help someone who is less fortunate than you; You realize that you have had a positive impact on another. You are experiencing self-love when you are giving of yourself; You can accept that you are not perfect and never will be-you are at peace; flaws and all: You hear music that enlightens or when you see a sunset and realize that you are part of the beauty of the world.. Is truth always the best policy? Always read the small print..

Simple answer YES

If you live your life by a decent moral code what have you to hide?

Do you have friends that you don't trust fully?

Back to Bad Penny's question Is truth always the best policy? Generally I would say it is and it is the simplest way to live. People who tell untruths need a better memory in order to maintain continuity in their lies. Unfortunately some people don't like to hear the truth but that should be their problem, not someone Else's. I trust all my friends completely. That is one main reason that they are my friends. All others are mates or acquaintances. Could you live without any friends?

Do you have friends that you don't trust fully?

Self defeating question really. Friendship is all about trust and repect. Kinda like the three points on a triangle.
Could you live without any friends?

You can exist without a hell of alot of things, but Live? The question is more -why would you want to?
One wish, what would it be?

So tempted to say World peace But I'd like to invent something amazing. There's lots of ideas rattling around in my noggin, but none that are gonna change the world sadly. But watch this space

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

Sorry Noddy, I hadn't read Jerry's post properly But my previous post was a scarcely disguised sarcastic comment Crazy but true ; The one thing I'd change about myself if I could Would be NOT to sweat so profusely at the slightest exertion It can be so awkward in certain activities

Yes

And as my Monkeybikes are chinese its a regular occurence but thats part of the fun, and they fit through the kitchen door so winter maitenance is in the warm. But I can honestly say never had more than two in the house at once.

Do you prefer to do your own repairs?

Definitely I started out doing it because I had to So I've never thought about taking them somewhere to have it done The added bonus for me is that I know the job has been done properly WHAT exactly what has been done And WHY Because it's no good just replacing a faulty part if you dont know why it failed in the first place Do you fix/mend/repair anything else ?

mad munkyBut I can honestly say never had more than two in the house at once. It's best not to let the monkey bikes to spend any time together. They could end up breeding. emzed your question Do you fix/mend/repair anything else ? If I think it can be repaired, I will have a go at fixing anything and why not. We live in a chuck away society and I don't think it is right. Question:- Do you prefer a bike without any electronics?

Electrics YES Electronics NO Worst thing ever fitted to bikes IMO If you aint got a laptop an a degree in electronics you can forget DIY An if Brussels gets their way ALL DIY will cease officially (maybe we;ll see the emergence of REAL outlaw bikers then) ABS where fitted should ALWAYS be switchable "Last ride out" was last Sunday's ride home from FYP What mileage constitutes the Majority of your riding ? Solo (inc pilly) ? Or with a group ?
