I ended up at Birmingham Childrens Hospital last night until the wee small hours this morning, got phone call from my niece, a wee bit panicy before midnight, her little girl sounded awful, so off we went. Found a FREE car park space straight away (get in there), skipped down the road with Isla (trying to take her mind off being poorly sick), only to be berated by by niece for looking daft and giving folk the impression i was somewhat a wee bit tapped lol. Walked into the A & E department full of anticipation at the toy delights i would find to play with (to amuse Isla obviously whilst waiting), my eyes lit up with the magic of it all, toys of every shape and form to keep me, i mean Isla amused, so what did we end up playing ................. lets push the plastic chair up and down the corridor for hours, only interrupted by the ocasional wander into the toilets for no reason at all !!!!

She fine by the way a nasty case of Croup, which she was given medicine for which of course had to be shared by Auntie Jackie, thanks munchkin i owe you one lol

@ BJ....Croup can be really serious! I had it when I was about six and I remember it vividly! Waking up at night barking like a dog and unable to breathe, I was going blue by the time the doctor came and she gave
me an injection and tablets. It was six weeks before I was well enough to return to school.

Took a ride out today over the Yorkshire Dales from Middleham to Kettlewell and back to Leyburn. At times i was accused of riding up a river bed, there was so much water streaming down the road and whole sections flooded, in other stretches the road was plastered with rotting leaves and other shit.
So what put a smile on my face? Firstly surviving the experience at all and secondly, the Dales look spectacular in those conditions, waterfalls EVERYWHERE !
