An evening jolly since I couldn't get away from work early , still it was a glorious evening even if starting to get nippy as the sun goes down. Think it was about 60 miles for me.
Joined Dannyacer and Holidayfan for a bimble out to Strathblane for supper. First time out with Elaine and her trike and she's really enjoying it and doing great; good to have another female biker for company.
I finished my weekend with a wet ride home from Essex. My leathers were still wet from yesterdays ride out. Putting on soggy gear is not the best thing yuck :-)
Danny took rear wheel off to get it to the garage and try a puncture repair, seems I picked up a screw on our ride on Tuesday. Meant I got a pillion ride with Danny when we joined dizzydot for a ride down the Ayrshire coast in glorious sunshine. Tyre won't be ready tomorrow so dizzy and I are joining Bry for blackberry picking, maybe plan more rides for later.
Nearly fell off laughing at the eejjt in the BMW who started revving his engine when I pulled up next to him at the lights, only for him to go and stall when they turned green.
@RB- lol, I love it when that happens. I had fun with a complete goomer on the motorway (really need to start acting my age), but it was most excellent.
Dunno what I'll do today - probably wash the bike - but yesterday added a glorious 207 miles to the clock in a loop up to Gourock for the ferry to Dunoon then riding up to Inveraray for lunch. Switch back again following the A886 to the end at Colintravie and the short ferry hop across to Bute. Took a tour around the island and just managed to blag a coffee and Empire biscuit off a cafe owner before he closed up and we caught the ferry from Rothesay over to Wemyss Bay. Proper ferry that one, they strapped the bikes down and had lounges and food and everything! Big thanks to Bry for coming up to do this trip; I know you'll be back because you've all those ferry tickets to use, but with no expiry date that could be any time.
Added another 300 miles on Wednesday, meeting Stuie and GBNP in central Scotland and riding over Erskine Bridge where Danny joined us for the ride up to Inveraray, where we waved them on their way before we returned home. Yesterday afternoon took the bike to garage to get an MoT - not sure when I'll get it back, hopefully this afternoon or tomorrow.
Loaded bike up this morning to go to Barmouth got as far as Bala & threw a conrod, resulting in 4 litres of oil being dumped all over my back wheel just been picked up by a mate :-(
