Seen a lot of people on here who say they fancy a go on a bike but never do, and i have recommended this many times..... so... WWW.GETON.CO.UK Cost you nothing except some of your precious free time. do something amazing today.......... gonna be nothing worse than when your older saying.. I wish i had ....................... !!! Check out the video What's Involved with the Free Ride? A qualified instructor will brief you about the session and kit you out with safety gear and helmet. You will then receive personal guidance from your instructor in a car free, safe and secure training area. They'll get you used to the gears and throttle, and before you know it you'll be grinning like a child riding their first bicycle, so relax, ride and enjoy the experience! After your session you can learn more about the motorbike learning process - how to do your CBT and getting your full motorcycle licence. Your instructor will also be able to offer advice on what bike to buy, what kind might suit you, and anything else you want to know.

The Get On website makes it look so easy, but in realty it doesn't really work. We do them where I work and we only do them on autos and don't waste time with geared bikes, because if someone struggles with pulling away they will not enjoy it and very unlikely to return and if they do pick it up, just when it begins to get enjoyable for the student we have to stop due to the fact, we only do them in our lunch break and have to get back to do a CBT road ride for paying customers. So I would say to folks thinking about doing a Get On, don't waste your time, pay your money and do the CBT because the training you do on a CBT is more complete and if you really want to ride a bike you need to do a CBT anyway. And if anyone thinks I'm saying that to make sure I've got work, believe me no motorcycle instructor does it for the money, for the responsibility it very poorly paid and I'm lucky to be full time where most work on a part time basis.

Much respect to you and instructors like you for doing the job Ragnar ... I considered doing it once, but apparently being good at hiding bodies was not considered a good thing to have on my cv !
