very interesting. very complicated. looks like im on to a loser. thinking about it, even if we knew the right distance they could be fast or slow roads so theres other things to think of. maybe we should put the time it takes to get somewhere, keeping to speed limits, instead of distance. (to late ive ducked before you could thump me.)

Never mind Matt, if you do a programme on the average time equation perhaps you can use the paper for a masters to add on to your degree, get typing lol......some people lol......

An idea, for the masses, if you find some someone you want to go visit, find out their Postcode and address by becoming a member and use the message facility and asking the said person, enter in to google maps click directions enter your own start point and hey presto!......it will give you routes and options for different routes....

SIMPLES ..as the furry one says...... :-)

just another thought. following on from junction and johnny why not have a link to google maps instead of, or next to, the distance. you should only need the first part of the post code so you can see which side of manchester or birmingham or wherever your going is.

cos the first part of the postcode isn't very accurate, especially in sparsely populated areas like in Scotland. You could be 100 miles apart and in the same postcode area.
Come on, nobody needs to be THAT accurate when going through the search results of profiles. If you like someone just chat to them. If you're too much of a lazy get to ride a little further to meet someone who could change your life... then you don't deserve that person!
