Currently riding a 750 Ducati Paso electric blue California spec
with apoorly left side silencer
Suzuki GP100 - blew it up, rebuilt it, watched it rot underneath me, rebuilt it again then crashed it into the side of a Ford Capri
Second Suzuki GP100 - blew it up twice (then learnt about how to adjust the amount of two stroke!), then crashed it, rebuilt it
Honda CX500 (was told by the parents to buy a 250 and nothing bigger but I had the cash) - crashed this but it was made of solid rock and didn't care
Yamaha XJ900 (pre diversion model) - crashed this, spent four months in hospital and another two off sick (smashed leg, fractured pelvis and two cracked vertabrae). Went back to work like Robocop. Then watched this rot underneath me and sold it to my local dealer for more than I paid for it and with an extra 85,000 miles on the clock!! Bob has never forgiven me.
Honda VFR750FJ - crashed this when a nice lady crossing a dual carriageway from the left stopped right in front of me instead of the central reservation (cheers love) - rebuilt it.
Honda VFR750FS - NEVER CRASHED THIS!! Superb bike, best VFR ever made.
Honda VTR1000 Firestorm - crashed this in a big way within four/five months of buying it brand new - rebuilt it how Honda should have (Maxton front and rear ends, Hobbsport engine). Very fast around a short track and left Fireblades on the TT course. Wish I still had this bike.
And now ...
Honda CB1300s - a little over two years old and 32,000 miles. Very nice bike but a bit too big and heavy to have a lot of fun on.
Am now considering either a Kawasaki or Suzuki (and hope whichever I get lasts like a Honda!)

I started riding in 1975 and have continued to do so to the present day
Triumph Trophy 250 - badge engineered Starfire BSA Starfire 650 Triumph Tiger - single carb oil in frame Bonneville Suzuki GT500 after Triumph written off by lorry! Triumph TSS 750 new in 1982 - an abomination nowt but trouble Honda XL185 for when the TSS was playing up which was most of the time. Kawasaki Z650 new in 1984 Kawasaki KE175 Kawasaki GPZ500S new in 1988 Kawasaki KH400 Triumph Trident Sprint 900 new in 1993 Suzuki Bandit 1200S new in 2002 and the best bike I've owned so far. Aprilia Falco new in 2004 and winding me up nearly as much as the TSS. It will have to go! The next bike will probably be a Triumph Daytona 955i to replace the Falco.
Honda Express 49cc - yes complete wi shopping basket (very handy) Suzuki GP100 - crashed 3 times , then stolen , recovered minus tank, rear shocks , seat n front mudgaurd . Honda CB185 Benely - used on farm with nobblies Yamaha DT80 - used on farm , a real fun little bike Suzuki GS500 full fairing - first big bike after passing DAS in 2001 Suzuki Bandit 1200K2 - bought brand new June 2002 , binned it twice in 1st 12 weeks , minor cosmetics still to be repaired , still going strong after 7 years , full paint job planned 4 this winter .

Cataraptor - Bet the Z650 had a squeaky fromt disk!!! And how many times did you seize the middle cylinder on the KH400???
I've always wanted a KH Triple, Earnshaws of Huddersfield has an almost new (so it looks) KH250 in their front window But I've no room in the garage!!!

Geoff i think you'd better stick to the CB mate. There seems to be an underliying theme within your bike ownwership. Having fun seems to be dangerous for your health. maybe even some little wheels to bolt on either side.
Aye Blues, but the main reason why I'm gonna do my utmost not to crash the CB is that I don't want to have to pick the flipping thing up!!
(Again!) No, I didn't crash it, it toppled in the Cat and Fiddle car park.
Funnily enough, after my big crash on the XJ I decided that maybe I ought to have some proper training. After a few very good courses I am happy to say that apart from two incidents (one, admittedly being my fault and quite a big incident ), my wheels have stayed on the road.
Anyone considering some good advanced training should stop considering it and get it booked.
Ok not that big a list but here goes
SS50 4 speed flat bar (put 5 speed bars on later) got sick of the 15 mile each way in all weathers so put a growing cash deposit down each week on a nice shiney new Red XL250s told dad I'd lose my deposit if he did not g'tee the HP lol
Last Black CB250DLX sold in Hull put a Mach III Touring Fairing and a set of Kruser panniers on it after winning £500 on spot the ball lol GL500 Silverwing Transferred Krusers to this designed and built towbar and a trailer for this when the law 1st came out to give us recognition :oD. 2nd hand 250DLX Stripped and rebuilt this Red powder coated frame swinging arm and stands. Got knocked off in a contra flow 3 weeks after rebuild :o( written off due to bent frame. DT125 de restricted :oD fun fun fun lol. FT500 stolen after 3 weeks :o( GPZ500s Stolen after 6 weeks recovered minus tank from a druggies house after he was found after an overdose (unfortunately not fatal) had to give bike to insurers to cover storage costs after a cockup. Currant bike CB750 owned 4 and a bit years now nicest bike so far designed and fitted towbar and trailer for flexabillity in use. Out of work and unable to go further with the next bike so will try to keep this one for a lot longer yet.

I know first hand how heavy it is geoff. Mine fell on top of me when my foot slipped when moving it by hand. Took 2 peeps to lift it off me. nearly as heavy as a sportster frame!! l like my bikes to look like their made of something other than plastic. big and heavy. Thats not an indication of the women i'm attracted to by the way.
