Common sense prevailing (Occasionally) best route for me to get back on a bike is a lightweight one until my fitness level is back up to handle the Speedy.
So if anyone knows of a roadworthy bike from 125-500cc up to £500 please let me know, nothing sports though, back won't handle that.

Hi oggy , you'll be lucky to get a second hand bike any model for less than a grand . Good luck , Try gumtree motorbikes . ( I've a 650 v strom , perfect lightweight and comfy not for sale sorry. )

Been offered a GPZ 500 for £600 & a Bros for £400, yeah prices can be around a grand but bargains are out there.

I have myself gone for an es 700. Not exactly an easy bike to ride. But light.

Both are worth a look, but both are also old and not exactly lightweight. A good tinkering exercise though if you want to wave the spanners about.

Picked up a MK1 GPZ 500S ten minutes walk away from me, for £600, straight through MOT.
The bargains are out there.
