Up here on holiday (in car unfortunately), and love the scenery. There are some fantastic roads, A77 to Ayr, Minigaff to St John's Town of Dalry. A real undiscovered area of Scotland. Just need a friendly biker to let me be pillion, so I can enjoy them properly.

Barbara A77 is one of my usual roads once i get off the ferry its either that or the A75......have to admit to being bored with them both....having said that the 77 is at least pretty as it follows the coast north....but there are better roads especially round Galloway and the coastal bit through Kirkcudbright. I hope you did a visit to Culzean Castle...fantastic place hanging on the edge of a cliff.

Best speak to Dizzydot. She's an exiled Anglo-Welsh who lives near Stranraer and knows the local roads well.
