Unfortunate thing is that you get the better of them and the idiotic police will charge you with GBH and you become instantly guilty. and they say English law is the best in the world ??????????????????????

whilst what you say is probably right , there does seem to be a shift in attitude as regards people useing force to protect there property , i,m thinking of the recent farm incident and how they were treated compared to poor Tony Martin

If they had got stolen, can you imagine the insurers first question to the store owner?

Q: "And what measures, or anti theft devices, were used to stop the bikes being taken from the shop? Chains or shackles for example?"

A: "Er..... none"

It's alright wanting to kick the f**k out of the thieves, but it's stupidity to HELP them.

LOL JP, in an ideal world eh? He'll probably get told off for leaving the shop premises and all those other bikes, and the till, unattended. Unless he owns the shop or is the manager. Not so sure I would have tackled the thieves, never know what weapons they are carying these days. No amount of money, or material goods, is worth more than someone's life.
