They've just said on the news that Silverstone now have a 17 year contract for car grand prix. But they've got to improve the circuit.
You can bet the price for those improvements will go on price of tickets for all events.
Why would anyone want to pay extortionate prices just to get through the gate. You don't even get a seat to sit on. It's the worst circuit i've been to for watching. I'll stick to watching them all on the box.
I agree blues, silly prices to sit for 2 mins doing nothing then have 10 seconds of cars going past ... to sit again for 2 mins ...
would rather see it all on the box
***ps, was good to see you at the weekend**
definitely wouldn't ever go watching, bikes or cars. Must boring sport to watch live. Much better on TV, action replays, get to see all the crashes etc.
I went to F1 at Silverstone, a few years back. Glad I went, for the experience, but v. poor value for money. There were only 2 other races on, all day
Quite nice filtering past 8 miles of queues, to get in tho
Reckon there's a market there, for a bike taxi service
You can't beat the atmosphere of live bike racing - especially the road races like the TT, and especially the NW200 and Oliver's Mount where they race real time!! You have to be there and do it to know the difference from watching it at home.
Then, when you go home, you can watch the recording and catch up on the bits you missed - best o both worlds!!! hahaha

Isle of man i can understand. but to pay ridiculas entrance fee then get ripped off again if you want to sit in an actual seat. then ripped off on food prices. And after all that only to see about ten yards of racing. Less an atmosphere, more of a bad smell. It's ripp-off britain at it's best. A fool and his/her money are easily parted.
Been to Donington and Brands and sat where can view big Screen so can see all the racing.
Valencia is a great track as you can see the whole track from the grandstand Makes for a great weekend of racing
If Silverstone keeps the car GP it will save them buggering up Donington for the bikes
In fairness, I quite liked the look of the new Donington layout.
Got rid of the Melbourne loop and added a new infield section.
Not sure what happens now tho. There are sections of circuit missing, so no racing at all for the present.
