Errmm Matt... you're too much of a techno geek... i think superseb means in the chatroom... and if he doesn't then i have just come up with a darn good idea...
<------- runs off really really really quick, jumps onto her gsxr and gives it lots of throttle.....
Yeah FG, I think Seb means in the chatroom but I think Matt means in the chatroom too as in the top right corner it says *last post* then gives the date and time which is the time you've just entered the room or the last post by someone if people are already in there chatting.
I think Seb might mean a timestamp on each line that appears at the top of the forum but I could be wrong, it wouldn't be the first time.
Yay Roachy.. new about that one... I thought that Seb meant a timestamp visable when people are looking through forums..
Over to you Seb... what did you mean..?
Yep FG, I agree, I think Seb means when viewing the chat through the forum pages.
The problem with the last message posted thing is (and I don't know if Seb had spotted it or not) is when you enter, the last post is the time you've just entered so it doesn't help you know when the last visitor was coz it's you..or at least that's how it was when I just nipped in.
Evening Ian. As for why you'd want a timestamp is so when you see some text up there, you know if it was 5 mins ago and will go join it or that it was from last night so won't bother.
This has come up before in a similar guise of having it display the number in chat on the forum page but Matt said he designed it the way it is so you have to enter chat to know how many may or may not be there otherwise no-one would ever go in.....or something like that.
It tells you the time of the last post once you've clicked to enter the chat room, but it doesn't tell you what time the last post was before you enter it.
