A MOTORCYCLIST suffered life-threatening injuries after he was struck by a wooden board that fell from the back of a vehicle on the M25. Police closed the motorway between junctions 7 and 5 after the biker was hit by a plank, which fell off what Police believe to be a yellow van with a yellow cage on the back. The man then collided with the central reservation. Police say he suffered “serious life threatening injuries.” Sergeant Jamie Dann said: “We are appealing for the driver of the Transit-style vehicle to come forward as they may have continued their journey unaware that debris had fallen off the back. We would also appeal for any witnesses who saw what happened to contact us as soon as possible.”

Oh crap, hope the guy is going to make a full recovery. I've just come up the M1 and noticed a large plank of wood laying in the central reservation area and thought what might have happened if that was in my path. Bit different to actually being struck by one though. Hope some witnesses come forward.
