Matt.... can you please tell me where we can post pics taken from last min meets that are not on events. Is there a way we can add to events even after the fact or maybe make somewhere for them. We go to meets not always on the events calander and get some good pics and the only place we can put them is on places like facebook which unless your are friends with that person no one gets to see. It would be good to have a way to post them on here so we can all see and maybe get more people to send in pics and show our newer members that we are not all scary lol. At the moment we cant post on our profiles if other peeps are in them according to section 17 terms and cond unless permission from other person is given. Can you help or advise Thank you

Hey UKHR protocol is pretty much if you wanna put pic on your profile it has to be of you or about you i think (moderators can explain better) nothing porno tho lol ....if you go to an event and you appear in a pic that u or someone else uploads you click on pic and it tags u then it will appear on your profile. What i'd like to see is somewhere we can post random pics that we have taken at small lastminute gatherings that were not posted on events. Not sure if its possible at mo but think it would be great idea as some peeps myself inc go somewhere chat to a few others and b4 u know it u have a mini meet with good laughs and maybe some pics. At the moment i dont think there is anywhere on here that we can post them which is a shame which means going to other sites ie FB an then only friends can see them which is no good for peeps we havent added or those who dont use other sites. Hopefully Matt can sort something out for us.

A BM gallery would be a great idea Jabecs - we quite often get together last minute and it's just not worth going through the rigmarole of submitting an event... I have in the past, considered submitting an event in arrears, but never bothered in the end - too much looking up post codes & whatnot!

No reason why you can't add an event even after it's gone, but it's a rather clumsy way of doing it, I agree.

One that appears at the top of the events page, regardless of what month you're looking at. That could become the generic gallery. :-)

I remember yahoo groups used to have a gallery section where you could create folders and upload photos. Moderators could delete if needs be.

Well looks as though everyone wants a generic style gallery post it point gallery ....sorry Matt if I have caused you more work Just thought it might be a good idea for those last minute gatherings that we have.

it's either a personal picture of you, or its a group photo at an event. You definitely need to create an event, wait for it to be approved, then upload all your files there. You can post the link in the forums and also onto your facebook page. Doesn't matter if it was 6 months ago, just add the event as a place to manage your photos for it. I'm working on a gallery for the site, but it will not be for you to upload into. It will be so newbies can skim through site activity in the events calendar. I'm not creating anymore areas for people to upload because it's already a lot of hassle for me, checking 200 photos per day on average. It also costs me a lot of time and effort managing the photos (resizing them weekly, backing them up daily, etc). There's nothing wrong at all with creating a new event, even for the small get-togethers. That's what the calendar is there for. You cannot upload photos of others because it's caused problems for us in the past.
