was just doin the same, have decided to keep saying hi to newest member on home page cos lots dont say hello too shy bless! maybe if we all try to say hello to one a week it might do the trick
Any other suggestions in getting more members talking ? it's certainly been informative the last few days albeit at times not very constructive . It always seems to be the same folks contributing ...

What about asking Matt about a proper chatroom so peeps can see whose in the room, what the convo is going on n join in when they feel comfortable. I've seen loads of peeps walk in the chatroom above, say hello then leave cos there's no-one there! I did it in my first week and haven't been in since

In a dedicated chatroom you see a list of peeps down the side who are currently in the room and you can message the whole room or contact people privately. It means the 'old hands' can invite peeps into the convo and make everyone feel comfortable.
I've seen loads of messages above from peeps sayin 'hello, is anyone here' then leaving lol
I don't know if it's a big job for Matt to link in a room but it could work to get more peeps involved
I'll give it a try sooner or later , and maybe someone will guide me through the motions , is there a problem with the word "initiation" ??? aaah nothing better than breaking the ice.
