Looks like we're just gonna blend in with the car drivers now. One good thing about us bikers using lights during the day is that we stand out, not anymore... expatica.com/nl/articles/news/Cars-in-EU-to-be-fitted-with-daytime-lights-.html

It's being fought by BMF and MAG Matt so do not expect it to come in in the UK just yet!

As long as they aint those piddling little blue lights, they hurt my eyes (am I the only one they do that to?) Why do great big lorries have tiny lights and average cars have large lights? and I wish someone would invent lights that can be seen when the sun is shining on them, fair enough I know that doesn't happen often...the sun shining

This argument has been on and off for a while now.... Attention needs to be on training drivers to look for things that are smaller than them and aren't box-shaped. Awareness and Observation are the key factors in skilled driving.

Well Matt Mag/Bmf defeated the proposed 100bhp limit, and the speed control thing seams to have been also defeated, also introduction of m/c's into bus lanes.........list is long and not exhaustive. Unfortunately the new test for bikes was not over turned (but watch this space I see a u turn on the horizon on even that!) all because europe deemed 50kmh is the desired speed on which some manuvres should be taken at (31mph) so we'd have to condone speeding to allow the old provision of using local roads to the test ctr.... The test ctrs are too far away for a lot of new riders, do not think you'll be allowed to ride 50+ miles home after a test fail.....where at the moment you could just leave the bike at the local test ctr or use the training schools iron...

Don't talk to me about cake!! Sore point at the moment. Can't explain so don't ask me to. I always drive with my headlights on. And speaking from a "professional" point of view (cue the belly laughs), I think it's a good idea. Also, don't get me on the subject of the BMF/MAG cos I could really, really ...... really upset people!!
