Does anybody have experience of heatwrapping exhausts - good or bad? I am thinking of heatwrapping the V&H Short Shots on my Nightster as I have rubbed the ceramic coating off the shields with my leg. Was going to use DEI 1" black tape over the pipe and heatshield and then spray it with the silicone coating afterwards....

just dont use them to cover where rust has broken through, they dont last long at all. I ended up getting new downpipes on my ZZR

"I am thinking of heatwrapping the V&H Short Shots on my Nightster as I have rubbed the ceramic coating off the shields with my leg." I presume this is some kind of secret code - if it is then the answer is yes, at dawn, by the old church.
