If I setup a shop on the site selling biker books, dvds, clothing, etc etc.... would you use/purchase from it?
It will be an affiliation based system through Amazon, so you'll in fact be buying from Amazon with all their guarentees and support. We'd just link to all the relevant items that may interest you.
The commission would go towards helping run BM and for more advertising of BM.

I've never bought anything from Amazon, would they bombard our email boxes with junk mail once we placed an order?

Amazon are the best company i have ever bought from online. I've spent thousands with them. One christmas I even went as far as buying EVERY preasent there and getting them to wrap them all up for me lol.
Almost always next day delivery, excellent prices, free delivery. I cannot recommend amazon enough, and not just because we're affiliating through them now. I genuinely have spent a fortune there and it's the first place i go to for DVDs, books, etc... even now that I live in the Netherlands.
Amazon are great Kwak - no email spamming... I ordered a last minute desperation present on 23rd Dec one year and it arrived Xmas Eve, even though they weren't guaranteeing next day delivery.
The only time they're a bit frustrating is if what you're ordering is out of stock/out of print... they can be a bit slow in letting you know they're actually not going to be able to send it after all, having initially promised they'd get hold of it... serves me right for trying to get hold of strangely obscure publications/dvds
