Hello fellow riders, pillions and whatever floats your boat folks. Not been on here long and have to say a warm welcome has been given already by two lovely ladies, thank you. Been taking a look around and have to say a great community going on here with friendly banter, ride outs, rallies and rides abroad! I've not that long since had the stabilisers removed from the bike and loving the 'big bike's' freedom; and more than looking forward to joing up for a ride out someday...
Hi ya Shadow Lady, A mahoooosive welcome to the Lunatic Asylum, where accommodation, meals and medications are all free.. Enjoy the site and don't be a shy gal, jump in and enjoy.. Form an orderly que , Well.....here's the 14.00 to "Mad Land"...all aboard!!.....Let's GO..
hi, thought I'd better get on and say hello to all you slightly mad and slightly scary people!! All new to this chat thing, not on facebook nor a twitterer. have tried the dating site route though, to no avail :-( Which brings me to my first 'stupid ' question, Are people going to be offended if I don't 'nod' back? What is a nod anyway? Is it just the equivalent of a bikers' nod while passing by? Hope you can help, don't want to make a fool of myself already then be too embarrassed to come back on!!
Hi northernlight. Firstly, A nod means different things to different people, to me its a hi, hello, just like I nod to others on road.
Now to the welcome....welcome to BM, get yourselves on the forums and get to know people, events are on both the events page and events thread so worth checking both.
Chat can seem a bit scary, but once you have been on a couple of times it isnt too scary. Dont forget you can walk away from any conversation if you want to, people just come and go in chat.
Hey Northernlight, a nod is a nod just the same as on a bike! A polite hello, not necessarily seen as meaning anything else as far as i am concerned. Just recognising the fact that you have checked out a profile or have met in chat, on a thread, and even at a rideout or event. Dont get hung up on em, it aint worth the hassle!
Enjoy your time on BM n get yourself involved, you get out of the site what you put in. Peeps are very welcoming.
