Hi and welcome to the club all recent newbies If you see an event you'd like to go to, on the events calendar, put your name down. http://www.bikermatch.co.uk/sites/bm/events/calendar.asp If there isn't an event in your area you could arrange your own. Post the event in the motorcycle events forum... http://www.bikermatch.co.uk/sites/bm/forum/all_cats.asp ...to see if there's any interest, then when you've got a few definites attending submit it for inclusion to the event calendar; that way you have a place to put any photos that were taken at the event. Private events (those that aren't open to ALL members) aren't included in the Biker Match events calendar so any photos from those events can be added to individual profiles. Hi
I live in Bolton and I haven't seen many female bikers around here :( I don't know anyone else who owns a bike around here - I'm a lone rider! If you see a pink/black ZZR600 on your travels, please give me a nod, no matter what you ride! :)

I joined hoping to meet a like minded male ;) but it would be nice to ride out with people and meet up :)

Hi everybody, I'm Chris and I have just found this site - thank gawd for that! And nobody seems to bite, either. Live out here in the boonies of Norfolk where the favourite ride seems to be a Massey Ferguson 750 (Great off road tyres). Looking to get back to way I was before the last ten years of domesticity took it's toll!!! Speak to you all soon, hopefully. Riding to Crete in August on the Triumph - anyone daft enough to come with?

Hi Chris tri885, Welcome to BM, looks like you have found the right place. Check out the events and you will find lots going on. We have events organisers that deal with events in East Anglia. Check out the Snetterton weekend coming up soon. Our main BM only event is at the end of August 31st to 2nd September. It is called the 2nd K.I.S.S. rally (Keep It Simple Stupid). Last year over 250 members attended, live bands, camping and a little bit of drinking. I would have love to do the Crete trip, but not this year unfortunately. You could start a new forum to see if anyone wants to join you, you never know there could be some takers. Are you taking the route via the former Yugoslavia down to Athens/Pireaus? I have done that by car but do want to ride it one day. Good luck

Hi David, I will be doing it the easy way. Ferry to France, tip up for the night just this side of Swiss border. Head off for Ancona ferry port, onto Patras - ride to Piraeus - overnight ferry to Heraklion. 3 days, I reckon. Then a fortnight to recover and have a cheap buttock transplant for the way home. Always got grief if I suggested hiring a decent bike over there, apparently only having 38 years worth of bike experience was not enough to make it "safe". No more grief (until the next time!), so I'll take my own and have fun! Cheers, Chris.

Hi Guys, just saying hello, it's nice to find a forum for bikers that doesn't seem full of keyboard warriors trying to one up all the time, i guess thats the big advantage of the subscription.

I only passed my DAS last november and due to setting up in business i have not had the time or money to buy a road bike yet but i can't wait to do just that, hopefully an SP1 when the time comes, for now though i still get my biking kicks by doing trackdays on my CBR 600 racing bike, i'm hoping to race it next year when i have more free time........and money!

Anyway nice to meet you all and i hope to see some of you at future events or meetings

Hi to you all, I'm Laine and new here. Been riding bikes ever since I was 16, also have a liking for a fast car. Own a 66 BSA A65 Thunderbolt, Honda Revere and CBR1000FH and Pontiac Transam Firebird, Dodge Stealth, Volvo S60 and a S Type Jag as well as an RV.....running out of parking space so will be thinning the stable. Like most types of music and own a music bar in Ipswich. Been single for nearly 3 years an although I love the freedom would be nice to experience the closeness you get when you have a partner/boyfriend. In no hurry though and look forward to making new friends.

Thanks for the hello dave4370,

Hi 1aine, welcome to the site, sounds like you have a fantastic garage and if i'm honest it's your RV i'm most jealous of, i love doing bike trackdays and it seems nearly everyone that goes has an RV to live in while there, it beats kipping in the back of my van.

I hope you find what you are looking for here, it seems a nice friendly site, as much as i can tell anyway after being on here for a grand total of 24 hours.

Hi from a newbie - joined a week ago and only just got time to come on the forum.

Hoping to meet new friends, bag a pillion seat and get my confidence back - would love to meet a biker partner and buy myself another bike in time.

Daft question - when a guy puts Tell You Later against their Status - does that mean they are married and don't want to say??

Either means that, or that they just can't be bothered, or there's some sort of skeleton in their cupboard. Proceed with caution and keep your brain in gear!

And welcome on board Suzanne

Hi Suzanne Welcome to BM. Check out the events and you should find something that appeals to you. There are a lot of good people to meet, so try to get along to an event as soon as you can. As Wills said go with caution, however the majority of members have written a full profile. With some people they just do the basics to start with and then gradually fill in the rest at a later date. You may not have noticed, it's not just the men that say "I will tell you later" Try getting involved and enjoy

Hi to all the other newbies. I've only been on here a couple of weeks and everyone has been really friendly and welcoming. Cheeky but welcoming! Don't be shy, you'll get out what you put in so get messaging and nodding. Worth looking at the events page and seeing whats going on nearby, plenty on depending on where you are. :-)
