One way to find out David, send a message to a standard member asking them to reply so you can see if it works. It's one way of breaking the ice.
It used to be that a standard member could respond to messages but not sure if that still applies.

...to see if there's any interest, then when you've got a few definites attending submit it for inclusion to the event calendar; that way you have a place to put any photos that were taken at the event.
Private events (those that aren't open to ALL members) aren't included in the Biker Match events calendar so any photos from those events can be added to individual profiles.
