Hmm, struggling with the terminology here. Blue Rinse has to refer to that crowd of 'athletes', who run around a bit, fall over a lot, then a bloke in a black shirt gives them the ball back, coz the other lot were a bit rough ? And does this mean, I'll never be a Brummie ?

Rob, reading between the lines.... "And does this mean, I'll never be a Brummie ?" <?xml:namespace prefix = v ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" /><v:shapetype id=_x0000_t75 stroked="f" filled="f" path="m@4@5l@4@11@9@11@9@5xe" o:preferrelative="t" o:spt="75" coordsize="21600,21600"> <v:stroke joinstyle="miter"></v:stroke><v:formulas><v:f eqn="if lineDrawn pixelLineWidth 0"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum @0 1 0"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum 0 0 @1"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @2 1 2"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @3 21600 pixelWidth"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @3 21600 pixelHeight"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum @0 0 1"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @6 1 2"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @7 21600 pixelWidth"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum @8 21600 0"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @7 21600 pixelHeight"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum @10 21600 0"></v:f></v:formulas><v:path o:connecttype="rect" gradientshapeok="t" o:extrusionok="f"></v:path><?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:lock aspectratio="t" v:ext="edit"></o:lock></v:shapetype><v:shape id=_x0000_i1025 style="WIDTH: 12.75pt; HEIGHT: 12.75pt" alt="LOL" type="#_x0000_t75"></v:shape><o:p></o:p> This would suggest that you consider yourself not to be a Brummie but deep down inside you have a yearning to be one. Take heart, you are not on your own, I am sure there are thousands just like you struggling with the same dilemma. <o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p> You could try the following<o:p></o:p> greet people with “good morning sir/madam. Have you ever been to St.Andrews? it’s such a wonderful place <o:p></o:p> ask you barber for some blue highlights.<o:p></o:p> demonstrate to people that you can confidently navigate spaghetti junction at the height of rush hour while blindfolded without getting lost.<o:p></o:p> practice correct pronunciations. Remember…we don’t have busses in Birmingham…we have “buzzes in Burmingum” <o:p></o:p> accept the fact that life is so unfair and some were born luckier than others.<o:p></o:p> You could apply to become an honorary or associate Brummie.<o:p></o:p> Form and become president of the “I want to be a Brummie support group”<o:p></o:p> or the ultimate confirmation that you are a true blue Brummie, get yourself on Golden Balls and get Jasper Carrot to introduce you as a “fellow Brummie” on national tv, record it and post it on youtube..<o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p> If your main picture is anything to go by I’d say you have a head start. Anyone who rides a blue bike gets a thumbs up from me.<o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p> Hope this helps<o:p></o:p>

Can't argue with any of that. Certainly some good pointers Once got very intimate with Spaghetti junction. Had a Z650 written off by a myopic car driver And my parents once lived next door to Jasper Carrot. In fact the moles used to tunnel between the gardens p.s. Isn't St Andrews North of the border
