Microsoft are always releasing stuff before its ready, when IE8 first came out it affected all sorts in systems, got loads of people saying other programs stopped running. I asked them if they had IE8 and if so take it out. The results where systems now fine .
The latest is the new MSN, nowhere does it say the updates a beta, result was when you try to set up webcam, blue screen every time, . Gone back to the old version, which has not been made easy to uninstall, now its all fine again.
The only reason Micro-coughed released IE8 early was to try to stop Firefox from getting a foot in the door, now there doing the same cause Skype are beating them.
<ahem> excuse me...could anyone advise how i un-install the latest msn...i dont like it but i dont know which bit it is in my control panel....ta very muchly
Well there ya go, proof in the pudding DC, there isnt an uninstall for it, Bill Gates thinks his ST doesn't stink!! I had to use a program called CCleaner.
Some of you really amaze me! Macs are dismissed or regarded as a device of the Devil while you put up with virus attacks, rubbish inadequately tested software from a cynical producer which you're forced to use, great difficulty in getting rid of it and a device which you need a degree in computing to operate.
Nothing that has been said on these forums is likely to make me forsake a Mac for a PC. It's bad enough having to use one at work, which is nothing but trouble, so this isn't blind prejudice on my part.
