When posting the text box stays white for a while, before it changes to grey. It also posts before I tell it to and I don't notice so I end up with two posts.
Karey has been flitting around the site deleting duplicate posts like a demented fairy lol
If you have the same, or similar problems, please let Matt know, via the contact button on the home page then he can sort it out.
Hopefully it will be sorted out soon, it takes longer to get thro the forum. I'm just glad it didn't happen before I'd finished the newsletter or I'd be azzzzleeep by now.
Seen a few people mentioning it today, but not experienced the problem myself... If the post reply box or PM reply box is slow to load, I just wait til it goes grey before typing... Haven't experienced that for a while though
hey Matt - nah it seems to do it on any topic - also PM's. it seems to be that the initial page dosn't load properly (or takes aaaages to load)...but still gives you the post reply box & allows you to type text in, so if you don't notice & start typing your reply in the box it then posts what you're typing once the page has fully loaded & then posts it again once you hit the post message button
slow to load = bad internet connection.
Seeing as I have 100mbps and the grey box loads fast for others (inc me at work earlier) then the issue must be down to poor ISPs for some people.
I wonder if you're all using a certain crappy ISP?
yea thats expected behaviour if you dont wait for it to go grey.
the issue is that your computer isn't downloading the text box editor fast enough (or a specific image/piece of code on the page).
But the server is running perfectly and so is my internet connection.
Please post your ISP and internet package info. I believe BT have restricted the connections after a certain time in the evening for some customers
ok it's doing it right now (& has just done it for Kwak above) - the page has loaded & says done. But the post reply box is still White....am counting the seconds & it isn't changing to grey............it's as if it's stuck! (am on BT business internet btw!) it's now been a miute & the box is still white...

Also noticing slowness elsewhere...
I loaded a topic, and read the first page (with all photos etc), but IE8 indicated it was still waiting for "1 item to load"...
I'd read the entire thread - and I'm not a fast reader
can anyone see which item is still waiting to load? Maybe an image with a little red cross?
Really its perfect for me, loads the grey box before i can even scroll down to it
Oh, and as SV_Shell and I are sitting next to each other, I've just refreshed this page, and posted this message during the time that her browser on BM is still showing (1 item remaining).
How can I refresh and post if it's an ISP issue... Surely mine would also be backlogged... tum te tum... she's still waiting...

ok - have noticed that if i go into the first page of this topic it locks up at 1 item loading.I can page forward to the 2nd page & it loads - but the post reply box stays at white. I then came out of the topic & then clicked on it again - but just clicked on the 2nd page & it's loaded completely fine

Using a wireless connection?
Try clearing your browser cache and cookies, logout of bm, restart your browser and try again.
Reboot, kick it, swap PCs? :-)
but the box loads for anyone logged in. It's exactly the same piece of code that runs for you as does for Shell, so it doesn't make sense.
