Just wondering how many of the early members are still active on here, I know there are a few of the early ones still here I joined in September 2008 anyone here before me, I’ve meet lots of lovely people on here and a few not so lovely I’ve some brilliant memories especially from the early days, unfortunately we have lost few off our members but I’m sure we’ll meet again on that road through the sky
I joined in 2012, so I don't know if that makes me an early member or a latecomer 🤔 Looking back my first year there was a Weardale ride out, a Cheese Run to Hawes, the Lakeland Passes camp, a Dent camp, a ride around the Cheviot and the Friskney camp, all between June and September! There seemed to be a lot more people actively involved with arranging and attending events back then, but that might be a combination of rose tinted glasses and everything being new to me. All the people I've met through BM have been good eggs, although I do tend to get on with anyone who is daft enough to travel on a machine that can't even stand up on it's own, sleep in a tent and stand in a field talking gibberish
It was brilliant up till about 2014is with events almost every weekend than people got sat-nav’s and started organising rides through Facebook and it all went to bits
I'm not sure what year I joined but I'm sure it was called something like bikerbook before? 🤷♀️ or am I making that up hahaha
I remember the chat room having a choice of colours to write in and "secret message" button which you had to be careful after a few sherbets that you was actually typing in secret and not in the main page 🤣🤣🤣🤣
and the chat was t the top of the screen visible whilst perusing the forums etc .... it was busy, chatty and bonkers 😝

It was Bikeachat and after 3 years Matt then started Bikeamatch as a dating site and it quickly took of as a dating come social site to run along side Bikeachat
I can't remember how long I've been on here, possibly over 10 years? I take months/years off social media when I'm busy IRL so 'tis hard to say how long I'm on any group website which is my membership always lapses.
I joined 20th May 2008, It was very quiet and not much happening back then but as Bill says it started to pick up and I remember the 1st KISS rally I think there were over 300 members turned up. Then the day out at the Green hut cafe at Edwinstow there was well over 100 turned up for a cuppa
